LINCOLN -- A 37-year-old Lincoln man is accused of stealing a motorcycle, after he was pulled over for wearing a non-Department of Transportation issued helmet. Police Officer Katie Flood says Larry Quimby was pulled over around 10:15am Thursday on westbound Cornhusker Highway at the I-180 interchange. The officer later found out the 2011 Harley-Davidson Sportster was stolen March 27th in Westminster, Colorado. The ignition had been punched out and the VIN number was rubbed off. Quimby is in jail accused of possessing stolen property.
