Lincoln Police say a third woman has been arrested on suspicion of forging more than $19,000 in bad checks around town. Officer Katie Flood says 43-year-old Jennifer Lumpkin of Tamarac, Florida was arrested Wednesday, after she was released from a hospital. Lumpkin and two other women were caught after a high-speed chase on Monday ended with a crash at 84th and Havelock that sent five people to the hospital. On Tuesday, Police arrested 29-year-old Erica Martinez and 19-year-old Britney Baker, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., after they were released from the hospital. They each face nine counts of felony forgery. Police believe the women were part of the "Felony Lane Gang." Thieves in the gang steal checks and IDs from cars, and then recruit women to pass bad checks at banks.
