LINCOLN -- A 22-year-old man remains hospitalized in stable condition with serious injuries, while a 20-year-old man accused of shooting him is in jail. Lincoln Police were called to 44th and "O" around 1:30 Saturday morning about a man that was wounded. Officer Katie Flood says the incident started in the parking lot of the nearby Kwik Shop. Both men got back into their vehicles and left the store lot, where they lined up next to each other in the westbound lanes of "O" Street. The arguing continued and one of the men, 20-year-old Brendan Horner, allegedly got out of the car and pulled out a handgun, firing off a shot that hit the other man in the neck and arm. Horner turned himself in Sunday afternoon. He was arrested for 1st-degree assault and use of a firearm to commit a felony.
