nvestigators Find Remains In Wake of Confession

CHADRON, Neb. -- Nebraska State Patrol investigators have found human remains near Chadron in the wake of a murder confession by a gunman who died following a standoff with police last week. Authorities have said Andres Gonzalez told negotiators during the June 12 standoff that he killed Joshua Bullock of Denver, whose burned pickup truck was found by a rancher Dec. 14 near Chadron. The western Nebraska town is about 50 miles north of Alliance, where Gonzalez and police engaged in a shootout at a local pharmacy. Investigators have said they believe Gonzalez killed Bullock around Dec. 1 and left his body in a remote area of western Nebraska. Patrol investigators found the remains Thursday morning. DNA testing will be conducted to determine identity of the remains.
