LINCOLN -- Arial">
A man is in jail after he tried robbing the U-Stop at 110 West "O" Street Thursday morning. Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood tells KFOR News 31-year-old Jeremy Smith walked into the store around 8:45a.m. and picked up a bag of chips. When he went to the register, Flood says Smith then demanded money from the clerk. Smith had his finger in his pocket, implying that he had a gun. Another employee told him to leave. He complied, leaving empty-handed. Smith was found a block away and taken into custody without incident on suspicion of robbery.
