Feds Get Update on Repair and Restart of Nuclear Power Plant
Federal regulators get another update today (Wednesday) on a Nebraska utility's plan to repair and restart a nuclear power plant that has been shut down since last spring. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission sits down with Omaha Public Power District officials to talk about the Fort Calhoun nuclear power plant, 20 miles north of Omaha. It's the second meeting since the NRC imposed tough oversight on Fort Calhoun after finding problems at the plant unrelated to last summer's flooding along the Missouri River.
