It could be mid-year before Lincoln's Novartis plant is shipping products again. Novartis has been closed since January 8th when federal inspectors found products contaminated with foreign tablets and foreign objects, missing labels and chipped or broken tablets. The Feds also scolded Novartis for not addressing hundreds and hundreds of consume complaints. The Journal Star also reports the FDA says failing to investigate complaints in a timely manner, or at all, is a longstanding problem at Lincoln's Novartis plant and was a main factor in the plant being shut down.
