01/31/2009 "Be There" parent involvement campaign kicks off across Nebraska The research linking student performance in school and parent involvement is conclusive. Students perform better in school, and in life, when they have actively engaged and involved parents. In an effort to strengthen the partnership between parents and schools, the Nebraska Association of School Boards, the Nebraska Parental Information and Resource Center, and the Nebraska School Public Relations Association is sponsoring a statewide multimedia campaign called Be There. The goal of this effort is to inspire families to become involved in meaningful ways in their children's life and education. We hope you will join us in "being there" for all the children in Nebraska. We believe, with your support, this could be the start of something that really makes a difference in the lives of our students.
