USPS Holds Meetings On How to Keep Small Offices Open
In communities like Marquette, the postal service is more than a place to pick up mail; it serves as a social setting, as well. So, closing the building would undoubtedly hurt the community. Dozens of post offices in Nebraska might not be facing complete closure but, at the least, reduced hours. The Postal Service is planning community meetings to explain options to keep their doors open. Meetings are planned today (Monday) in the small communities of Ashby, Crab Orchard, Hoskins and Merriman.
