Two Western Nebraskans Found Guilty in Child Molestation Case
Both adults are now guilty in a Western Nebraska case involving sexual molestation and extortion. First, a 56-year-old man from the Panhandle town of Potter molested a 7-year-old girl. Then, the girl's mother tried to extort 20,000 dollars from the molester in return for keeping quiet. Both adults were arrested after the girl reported the incident to authorities. 56-year old Jason Frei pleaded no contest to negligent child abuse and witness tampering. The girl's 30-year-old mother first pleaded innocent, but now has made a deal and pleaded guilty. The mother's name is not being released in order to protect her daughter.
