Thursday Evening Robberies Under Investigation

LINCOLN -- Two evening robberies, four hours apart from one another, are still under investigation.  The Figuroa Market in the 1200 block of South 14th Street was robbed around 10pm Thursday.  Two men, described by Police Officer Katie Flood as black males wearing dark clothing and armed with knives, walked in and demanded money from the clerk.  They took off with money from behind the counter.  Earlier in the evening around 6pm, a pizza delivery driver was robbed by two men just south of 24th and Holdrege.  The food was taken by both men, who got into a gold 4-door car, possibly a Buick.  While it appears these two cases aren't directly related, Officer Flood says they're working to see if they may be related to other recent robberies.
