Standish Named Spartans New Baseball Coach



LINCOLN -- Lincoln East High School has hired Scott Standish as its new head baseball coach.  Standish has been a varsity assistant coach at Millard North High School in Omaha, and an assistant coach at Bellevue University and Dana College.  Standish played at Omaha Westside and Iowa State University and was drafted by the New York Yankees in 1993. He pitched in the minor leagues before retiring in 1997 due to an arm injury.
