The Lincoln Saltdogs have named former Major League Baseball star Ken Oberkfell as the team's new manager. Oberkfell played 16 years in the major league and was on St. Louis' 1982 World Series championship team. He also spent a few seasons as a third baseman for the Atlanta Braves and played for the San Francisco Giants during their 1989 World Series campaign. Oberkfell has been managing in minor league baseball since 1997 and currently manages a team in the Dominican Winter League.
