A woman was punched in the face and had her purse taken; now the search is on this morning for a suspect. Police Sgt. Tarrence Vernon told KFOR NEWS that the woman got out of her car in the 4900 block of West Wilkins and a man yelled for her purse. She refused and was punched in the face. He then stole the woman’s purse and fled. The suspect is described as 6-3, 180 pounds, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, jeans and black shoes.
