North Platte's annual Rail Fest is being recommended as one of the top events for U.S. bus travelers to consider attending. The American Bus Association included Nebraska's celebration of railroad history in its list of the top 100 events for bus tours to visit. The 2013 event will be held next Sept. 19-21. Lisa Burke with the convention and visitor's bureau in North Platte says the recognition is an indication of the quality of the Rail Fest event.
