LINCOLN -- Wednesday is the last day of the 90 day legislative session. State lawmakers will not have time to pass Medicaid expansion for 54,000 Nebraskans. Some supporters of that expansion met at the state Capitol building to give a voice to a legislative study giving lawmakers a better understanding of the financial impact of Medicaid expansion. Delaying Medicaid expansion this year has cost Nebraska 100% federal funding in 2014. Lincoln Senator Kathy Campbell says 500 Nebraskans die each year because they don't have good health care.
