New Deadline for P Street Project: End Aug. 2014

The city has hired a professional project manager to oversee the P Street project which was supposed to be done before the 2013 football season.  The contractor was new and didn't work fast enough, winter didn't cooperate and the city lost track of the project and it's gone on far longer than business will tolerate.  On the KFOR Morning Show, Mayor Beutler said the city is kicking in $30,000 and has hired PC Sports to oversee the P Street project.  The mayor and city leaders are holding the contractor accountable to make sure all concrete work is done by the end of August.  Mayor Beutler took responsibility for not paying close enough attention to the projects pace and for overburdening the city Urban Development Department.   PC Sports watched over the Pinnacle Bank Arena and West Haymarket construction.
