Traffic will soon begin to flow better in portions of northwest Lincoln as two road projects start to wind down. City officials said that a stretch of North 14th Street, from Superior to Alvo Road, will have one lane of open traffic in each direction starting Friday afternoon. It's been a year since that portion of 14th has been open to through traffic. Also, the roundabout at 1st and Adams will open Saturday afternoon. Public works officials have said there are a few rules to keep in mind when approaching and driving through a roundabout including: slow down, yield to other vehicles in all lanes, stay in your lane, do not stop in the roundabout and don't drive next to large trucks.
