NW Lincoln Road Projects Winding Down

Traffic will soon begin to flow better in portions of northwest Lincoln as two road projects start to wind down.  City officials said that a stretch of North 14th Street, from Superior to Alvo Road, will have one lane of open traffic in each direction starting Friday afternoon. It's been a year since that portion of 14th has been open to through traffic.  Also, the roundabout at 1st and Adams will open Saturday afternoon.  Public works officials have said there are a few rules to keep in mind when approaching and driving through a roundabout including: slow down, yield to other vehicles in all lanes, stay in your lane, do not stop in the roundabout and don't drive next to large trucks.  For more information, go to the city’s website, Lincoln.ne.gov, and type in keyword: roundabouts.
