Sheriff's deputies received a complaint about a man going door to door, trying to sell magazines while being intimidating at the same time. An investigation led to the arrest of 31-year-old Michael Carruthers of Memphis, Tennessee last night (Monday), after two complaints came in from an area near 56th and Yankee Hill Road. Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner said Carruthers apparently had an improper tactic of trying to sell magazines. He allegedly would accuse the person of being racist if they refused to buy from him. Carruthers was arrested for two counts of disturbing the peace.
