Man, Woman Accused of Two Lincoln Bank Robberies



LINCOLN -- Lincoln Police arrested a bank robber over the weekend. Capt. Michon Morrow tells KFOR News 51 year old Cameron Mitchell of Lincoln was captured at the Days Inn Hotel on West O Street for the June 23rd hold-up of a U-S Bank branch at 5501 S 56th and the July 16th Union Bank robbery at 2201 Highway 2. Mitchell is also suspected to have robbed banks in Omaha and Council Bluffs. Police also arrested 45-year-old Ruth Cecetka for aiding and abetting. Mitchell was arrested for two counts each of robbery and use of a weapon to commit a felony. He was also arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, possessing a defaced firearm and possession of a controlled substance.
