Omaha Congressman Lee Terry has been selected as the chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee's commerce and trade subcommittee. The Nebraska Republican will head the Subcommittee beginning in January. The subcommittee has jurisdiction over interstate and foreign commerce issues, regulation of commercial practices, the Federal Trade Commission, data security consumer protection and product safety.
