Lancaster County Emergency Management Director Retires
The Lancaster County Board today officially accepted the resignation and retirement of the county's emergency management director Doug Ahlberg. Ahlberg held the position for 15 years after serving as a Lincoln Police officer for 40 years. County Board President Larry Hudkins praised Ahlberg for building the county's emergency preparedness and said Ahlberg accomplished a lot during his career. Ahlberg called it an honor and a joy to work with county officials and the county board and said he's received good support from the county. The board appointed deputy director Mark Hosking as the new interm director of emergency management.
