LONG BEACH, Calif. -- The Nebraska sand volleyball team lost 4-1 on Tuesday to Long Beach State, the #2 team in the national ratings. Bigger story might have been when three-time Olympic gold medalist and Long Beach State alum Misty May-Treanor took to the sand to play with Husker Meghan Haggerty at the No. 6 spot. The Huskers travel to Irvine, Calif. for a pair of matches against Irvine Valley College and Loyola Marymount on Wednesday.
