Huskers Bounce Back To Beat Mavericks



LINCOLN -- The Nebraska softball team, meanwhile, had to come from behind to edge UNO 3-2 Tuesday afternoon in Lincoln. Husker first baseman Mattie Fowler hit a solo home run in the third inning, but UNO rallied with two runs in the sixth inning and had a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh. Nebraska was down to its last out, but had runners on second and third and Fowler at the plate. The sophomore from Arizona came thru with a two-run single to plate the winning runs. Nebraska edges Omaha 3-2, with Fowler knocking in all three runs. The Nebraska softball team now has a 19-5 record. The Huskers are scheduled to host North Dakota State for a doubleheader Wednesday, beginning at 2 p.m.
