Google Settles With Nebraska and 36 Other States



LINCOLN -- Nebraska and 36 other states is getting a portion of a settlement with Google.  The search engine giant is accused of using programming to fool Apple's Safari browser on mobile phones and computers so it could track online activity. Safari blocks browsing history, but Google circumvented default privacy settings on Safari without consumers’ knowledge or consent, giving Google access to tracking information.  Google is paying states $17 million...Nebraska is getting about $250,000.
