5-10 inches of snow is coming to Lincoln. A Winter Storm Warning takes effect at 3 this afternoon (Wednesday) and extends through 6:00 tomorrow (Thursday) morning. The National Weather Service says that the precipitation will start mid-afternoon and then turn into heavy snow by late afternoon. Snow will taper off tonight, but 20 to 30 mile an hour winds, with gusts to 40 miles an hour will continue tomorrow (Thursday) morning. There will be blowing and drifting snow causing low visibility and white-out conditions are possible in places.
