Gage County Man Arrested After Firing Shots Inside His Home

A suspect believed to have fired a gun inside a southeast Nebraska house while his family was inside has turned himself in to authorities. Gage County Attorney Roger Harris says 43-year-old William Price, of rural Cortland, turned himself in to the Gage County Sheriff's office in Beatrice around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities were called to the house south of town around 7 p.m. Friday, after Price's wife told authorities that he had brandished a gun. Price's wife, three children and two family friends escaped. Price left the house before police arrived.  Authorities estimate that Price fired 20 to 30 shots inside the home. Price is charged in an arrest warrant with making terroristic threats and two weapons counts.
