LINCOLN -- It was only a matter of time before more "Felony Lane Gang" members tried pulling off another scam. It happened Friday, where 29 year old Kerri Lowery of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and 39 year old Jennifer Walen of Cincinnati, tried cashing a $1,600 check at a Wells Fargo branch near 48th and Leighton, but the bank's limit is $1,000. Two others, 28-year-olds Michael Seraphin and Valerie Dunham, both of Florida, apparently tried to cash a stolen check at the 27th and Superior Wells Fargo, where the teller called police. The 4 join 3 other "Felony Lane Gang" members in jail. They're called that because the group steals checks, then tries cashing them in the outer-most drive-thru lanes at banks, making it more difficult for tellers to see their identity.
