Nebraska 1st District Republican Congressman Jeff Fortenberry was pleased to hear President Obama talk about a reasonable and responsible strategy in Afghanistan at the beginning and again at the end of his State of the Union speech last night, as well as a new focus on manufacturing. Congressman Fortenberry was encouraged to hear the president commit to reviving the "Made in the USA" label and expanding progress in clean energy production and conservation, but the congressman found it hard to understand why the president didn't lay out a specific course for controlling spending.
