Electricity Bill Increase in 35 Days



LINCOLN -- The City Council has approved a rate increase for Lincoln Electric. The result of the 5-to-2 vote is a 3% increase in your monthly bill. For the average household, the electric bill will be $2.41 a month higher starting January 1st. LES will use the extra money to cover rising energy transmission costs, higher expenses to operate and maintain utilities and to expand the sustainable energy program.
