Different Branched Oak Fight Leads to Severe Injuries
(5-23-14) A 21-year-old Lincoln man is recovering from severe injuries after a fight broke out Wednesday night at Branched Oak Lake. The call came at 9:30 p.m., from one of the members of a large group gathered at Area 14. But that group dispersed and 21-year-old Brandon Fey of Lincoln was found unconscious and injured. Lancaster County Sheriff Chief Deputy Jeff Bliemeister said Fey had a basal skull fracture, subderal hematoma, cuts and bruises. Raymond Fire and Rescue transported Fey to a Lincoln area hospital where he is recovering. Deputies have been unable to interview him because of his current state but continue with investigation to find who is responsible. Chief Deputy Bliemeister said alcohol was involved, but no drugs or weapons. He asks people to call the Sheriff's Department if they see a problem at places like state lakes. This fight came hours before another at the same lake, but the two incidents are unrelated.
