Dave Hilligoss
Bio
Dave was born and raised in Lincoln. After graduating from Lincoln East High
School in 1980, he attended UNL, playing trumpet in the Cornhusker Marching
Band and receiving his degree in Journalism.
Dave started at KFOR in 1985 writing and producing commercials, and covering the 6pm to midnight shift several evenings a week. Dave went part-time in 1990, when his first son was born, so he could become a stay-at-home-dad. During that period he worked every air-shift at one time or another, filling in for sick or vacationing airstaff. We convinced him to work 5 days a week in 2007. Since then, he has been the host of KFOR's afternoon show weekdays from 4pm to 7pm.
Dave and his wife Connie have two sons; Wade, a junior at UNL, and Bradley, a freshman, also at UNL. Dave and Connie also own Sign Pro. Dave's free time is spent cheering on his boys in their school activities, riding his motorcycle, playing golf, strumming his guitar, and serving in his church.
Dave says he's thrilled to be a part of KFOR's heritage. "Like many listeners, I have grown up listening to KFOR. I'm very aware of its rich tradition and history in the community. It's an honor to be a part of it and to visit with you daily. Thanks for
making KFOR a part of your life."
